INNOVATIVE TEACHING METHODS- “FLIPPED CLASSROOM & DESIGN THINKING”

CONCEPT FOR MBA STUDENTS

Mr. D.M. Arvind Mallik, Asst.Prof I PGDMS & RC I PESITM I Shivamogga. Karnataka  State.India.   He has
been  experimenting with the concept of ‘Flipped Classrooms’,  a pedagogical model in  which  the typical
lecture  and  homework elements  of  a course  are  reversed – students  learn  content  online by  watching
pre-recorded lectures, usually at home, and in-class time is devoted to homework, projects and discussions
with the teacher. He uses Facebook, smartphones and  all possible modes to teach the subject. This use of
technology in teaching methodologies has been recognized by Telugu Book of Records in special  category.
( These 2 innovative Teaching Methods have won 5 Awards since Feb’2016 to Till today).

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF  VISITORS VISITED TO MAHATMA GANDHI JI’S EXHIBITION

`PANCHSHIL SCHOOL, Rajkot,  organized exhibition of  more than 3000 photographs of Mahatma Gandhi Ji`s collections, along with creative art work, live spinning of charkha was done by students. The collection of postal stamps,coins currency notes were also exhibited. Number of persons dressed up in Mahatma Gandhi Ji`s make up were also present .  Largest post card, key ring collection,etc. on Mahatma  Gandhi attracted lot of visitors. The exhibits, were widely appraised and appreciated by 4,35,827 visitors who visited during these 2 days, i.e.30th and 31st January 2016.
